“Clichés of Politics” by Mark Spangler

Clichés of Politics
by Mark Spangler

This book of essays is a sequel to a 1970 book entitled Clichés of Socialism. Both collections were born of The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) to rebut some of the many left-wing philosophies and catch phrases of the day. In this latest compilation, you will find several of the original essays (some updated) along with many new ones. Here are some chapter titles from the latest compilation:

  • “Government should control prices, but not people.”
  • “If free enterprise really works, why the Great Depression?”
  • “A shortage of tax revenues creates budget deficits.”
  • “Mankind was born for cooperation, not competition.”
  • “Without legislation, we’d still have child labor and sweatshop conditions.”
  • “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.”
